Thermal/Mineral spring, and Fountains of Saint Paul de Fenouillet
(Pyrénées-Orientales)
This thermal/mineral spring is found in a nice little grotto just outside the village of Saint Paul des Fenouillet. The water is warm, rich in calcium sulfates and magnesium, the taste is strong yet agreeable. While I was there, two older people came to fill their bottles, so I asked them about the water. Both of them said it was "good for the stomach", and one of them said "It cures the whole body!" Who knows... in any case I do love a sip of this very special water when I'm in the neighborhood.

Below is a photocopy of the original advertisment for the nearby spa, dating from the early 1900s. My thanks to the tourist office of Saint Paul de Fenouillet for giving me this photocopy. Click image to enlarge.
