Source St. Dominic (Aude) Located between the towns of Montrèal and Carcassonne, sheltered in a cool shady patch of woods. Dominic was around these parts in the 1200's; nearby one finds monuments to "The Miracle of the Bloody Field", the "Miracle of the Storm" and other related things. (Click photos for larger veiws)

Water collects in a cistern inside.

After trickling from the cistern below the statue, the water seeps into this muddy, stagnant pool before soaking away into some nearby vinyards.
