| On these pages I attempt to capture and present something of the atmosphere of the cemeteries: the lonesome, crumbling beauty and stillness in the small rural graveyards, the somber
elegance of those in larger cities. My interest is not the graves of historical or famous persons...on this site you will find only images, left to tell their own stories. I am also fascinated by the
strange beauty in the design of gravestones, tombs and funerary ornaments, and the way these are often left to crumble to dust; almost as a symbol of dissolution and our own inevitable returning to
