Many "firsts" here: the first gig where I used the Gretsch G5127 guitar I'd bought earlier that year, first time I've ever performed my solo material in front of an audience, first time I've had a band play my own songs, and the first show the three of us played together. Considering the frenetic backstage pace of a music festival, hectic setup with no sound check, and a pretty hard audience, it didn't go too badly though it certainly sounded like our first gig. The people who had come to hear us really did seem to enjoy it, which made it all worthwhile. On the other hand, someone named Jason described it as: "less painful than Hawkwind's set because it was shorter"! Photo by Deb Sears.
