1986, Denver Colorado, playing with Legacy of Sorrow. L-R: Ron Miles on trumpet, me on bass, Mark Fuller drumming, Eric Moon on keyboards, and honorary cardboard cutout television personality guest Ed McMahon who we'd found in an alley. Legacy of Sorrow was an improvising band; with the exception of our magnum opus "Feelin' Good" for which we'd composed a verse and chorus, we'd go onstage with absolutely no idea what we were going to play. Usually we'd end up mangling every musical style and/or cliché we could muster, abusing our own musical influences, and going off into eldritch atmospheres of unknown abysses and anything else that came along. The audiences at our shows were GREAT, they played right along and really egged us on.
