It's 1980 and I'm playing bass with the Metrotones at the Blue Note Theatre in Boulder Colorado. I also played Taurus Bass pedals but I'd often tune them up a couple of octaves and play melodies with my foot. While also singing harmony vocals. The Metrotones were a great early 80's Denver band, the other members were Lin Esser on guitar and lead vocal, and Grant Hall on drums. A friend named Pam would occasionally scour the thrift shops and give us clothes, that's where I got this ill-fitting yet allegedly classy getup.
